How does it work?

Drop your image: it opens in the editor, already flipped horizontally, like a mirror. The Image menu also offers a vertical flip (top and bottom swapped); applying the same flip again restores the original image.

To flip only one element of a composition, select its layer and use the flip buttons in the right-hand panel. The dimensions do not change. Finally, click Export.

Fixing a mirrored selfie

The front camera shows a mirrored preview: the text on a T-shirt appears backwards. A horizontal flip puts the text the right way round, and the 3024 × 4032 pixel photo keeps exactly the same dimensions.

A symmetrical composition

In a 2000 × 1000 pixel document, place a 1000 × 1000 photo on the left, duplicate its layer, flip the copy horizontally and place it at 1000 pixels: the two halves form a perfectly symmetrical image.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
Flipping creates a reflection: left becomes right (or top becomes bottom), and text becomes unreadable. Rotating turns the image without reflecting it: text stays readable, just tilted.
Is added text flipped too?
The flip in the Image menu flips the whole document, text included. To keep text readable, add it after flipping, or flip only the photo layer from the right-hand panel.
Can I undo my changes?
Yes: Ctrl/Cmd + Z undoes, Shift + Ctrl/Cmd + Z redoes, and the “History” tab lets you go back several steps (40 steps per document). A move, a brush stroke or a slider adjustment counts as a single step.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Images are opened, edited and encoded in your browser, on your device. No image, file name or layer text is uploaded: you can even go offline once the page has loaded. Closing the tab erases your work in progress.
